The main base is larger and is meant to be the main phone of the home, the other two cordless phones have a small base that is easier to position in the home. The cordless telephones in these triple packs are usually digital and so have a great sound quality and can be used at a large distance from the base and as there are three bases this gives you even more roaming power.
