The twin sets of cordless telephones usually have one main base and then one small base for the second cordless telephone which is usually placed upstairs. The main base has all of the main controls and the answering machine if the cordless phone has an answering machine.

There are several advantages with owning twin cordless phones; you can use them as an intercom to talk in your own home and it means there will likely be a cordless phone nearer to you than if you only had one. Many of them also cleverly share information so if you enter a contact into the phone book of one phone and it will be entered into the phonebook of the second automatically.

When you buy a twin set of cordless telephones it is also best to buy digital as the digital cordless telephones have a much better quality.
